The Flat meeting at Nottingham on Tuesday must pass a 4pm precautionary inspection on Monday.
Currently the ground at Colwick Park is soft but the forecast for Monday is not favourable.
A band of heavy rain is due to move in from the east and officials will have a better idea of where they stand late on Monday afternoon.
The forecast for Tuesday is more favourable with temperatures rising to 13C.
