Goodwood has abandoned the remaining six-furlong races at the course in 2014 to allow for essential remedial work on the track.
There are three remaining races over the distance, the first of which comes next Wednesday (September 24) with that contest being replaced by a new race over seven furlongs.
The new race will close, in line with the existing races, at noon on Thursday, September 18. Declarations are to be made by 10am on Monday, September 22.
