Kevin Bizier has warned Kell Brook he will put on the performance of his life and spring a surprise when they clash this spring.

The Canadian welterweight is the mandatory challenger to the IBF world champion and is happy to travel to Sheffield for the fight.

Bizier (25-2-KO17) has lost twice to Jo Jo Dan, who the 'Special One' finished off in four rounds in his first defence last year, but is more than happy being the underdog.

"I know I'll be the underdog, but I guarantee you that I will give the performance of my life," he told BoxingScene.com.

"I fought in England as an amateur. Having the crowd against me doesn't bother me at all."

Bizier's promoter Yvon Michel admitted they tried to get the fight in his own country but is happy with the deal done with Brook's Matchroom team.

The Sheffield star was due to face Argentine Diego Chaves at the tail-end of 2015 but a serious rib injury sustained in sparring forced him to withdraw.

Brook is back in training and still constantly linked with an all-British battle with bitter rival Amir Khan.

But he has been ordered to face Bizier by the IBF, who stripped Tyson Fury of the heavyweight belt for refusing to agree a mandatory defence a matter of weeks after deposing long-standing champion Wladimir Klitschko.
