Joshua-Klitschko 'will be the biggest fight in the world', says George Foreman

George Foreman believes if Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko share a ring it will be the biggest fight in the world.

Joshua is due to make the second defence of his IBF heavyweight title against an opponent yet to be confirmed at the Manchester Arena on December 10.

A planned showdown with dethroned IBF, WBO and WBA champion Klitschko has been put back until next year, with the Ukrainian confirming he wants to fight Joshua in the spring.

Former two-time heavyweight champion Foreman famously fought Muhammad Ali in the "The Rumble in the Jungle in 1974. 'Big George' then became a household name again two decades later when he regained the heavyweight title at the age of 45.

The 67-year-old predicts a showdown between the undefeated Londoner and 68-fight veteran can also generate similar worldwide appeal.

"That match-up will be the best. It matches the old and the new, the aggressive and the smart," Foreman told Sky Sports News HQ. "Klitschko's a good fighter. He has a good left jab and once you develop a good left jab, there's no such thing as your best days before or behind you, you are a fighter that can last forever.

"This fight, of course if it occurs, Klitschko and Joshua, it will be front and back page of the world news. The whole world will want to be involved in that one.
