Davies and Bresnan included for Champions Trophy semi-final

Surrey wicketkeeper Steve Davies will make his one-day international debut in England's ICC Champions Trophy semi-final against Australia after Matt Prior was ruled out by a virus. Stuart Broad also misses out at Centurion after failing to prove his recovery from a torn muscle in his left buttock. Yorkshire all-rounder Tim Bresnan replaces Broad in a like-for-like swap for his first appearance of the tournament. Prior had already missed the final two group matches and will now sit out the remainder of the tournament. Middlesex batsman Eoin Morgan filled in behind the stumps during England's victory over South Africa and defeat to New Zealand. Davies, who recently left Worcestershire to join Surrey, was flown out as cover and - after replacing Prior in England's official 15-man squad - is thrown straight in at the deep end. His previous international experience is limited to one Twenty20 appearance on the tour of West Indies last March. Davies' inclusion means there is no place for Ravi Bopara, while Ryan Sidebottom also makes way for Graham Onions. Australia, who beat England 6-1 in the recent NatWest Series, named an unchanged team from the side that beat Pakistan by two wickets on Wednesday. England captain Andrew Strauss won the toss and opted to bat first in the day-nighter.
