Spinner pens new three-year deal

Left-arm spinner Dean Cosker has signed a new three-year contract with Glamorgan. Cosker enjoyed the best season of his career in 2010, taking 53 first-class wickets as the Welsh county finished third in Division Two of the LV County Championship. The 32-year-old, whose wife recently gave birth to the couple's second child, made his debut in 1996 and has represented England at Under 19 and A team level. "It's been a great week for the Cosker household, with the birth of my daughter and securing my future with Glamorgan - it was a real double whammy," he told the county's official website. "I have enjoyed 15 years with Glamorgan and it is still somewhere I am able to continue to achieve. "Last season was my most successful taking 53 wickets and I really feel I've got more of the same to come. "It's a really nice environment to work in and I have great team mates who I can also call very close friends." Seam bowlers Chris Ashling and Huw Waters have also committed their futures to the Swalec Stadium by agreeing contracts until the end of the 2012 season, while youngster John Glover has been offered a development deal for 2011.
