Batting coach Graham Gooch wants a ruthless approach from his England charges in the final ODI against Australia at Old Trafford on Tuesday.
England lead the five-match series 3-0 - the third game at Edgbaston was a washout - but cannot overtake Australia for top spot in the ODI rankings even with another victory in Manchester, which would be their 10th in a row in the 50-over format.
Despite the match being a dead rubber, Gooch does not expect any drop in intensity.
"You just want to go out and win every match," he told
Sky Sports News.
"You try to break it down into smaller components, one match at a time, one innings at a time, one over at a time.
"Certainly the players have got those disciplines exactly right. It's fair to say they've got their cricket up to a standard that they'd like to achieve every time they go on the field.
"So this last match at Old Trafford is an important game. They don't want to lose to Australia at any time in any match."

Gooch added: "I think it's always a special thing when Australia visit these shores. It's a big series whether it's the Ashes or one-day cricket it's a great rivalry between the sides.
"England have got to be happy with the way they've played. They have been very professional. They've gone about their work in a very positive way.
"They've taken their cricket to the Australians and the team have got the results. So they have to be delighted with three-nil.
"There's one match to go yet and any match against Australia is a special occasion. The players will be looking forward to the game and doing their utmost to make it four-nil."
Bairstow released
England have released batsman Jonathan Bairstow from their squad at Old Trafford to allow him to rejoin Yorkshire ahead of their County Championship fixture against Hampshire, which starts on Wednesday.
Bairstow has not featured in the series.
