County champions Yorkshire have announced that coach Jason Gillespie will leave his position at the end of the season.
The former Australia fast bowler has enjoyed considerable success in his five years at Headingley, taking the county from the second division to consecutive Championship titles while suffering just five defeats in 76 Championship fixtures.
The 41-year-old has been linked with several international jobs during his time in Yorkshire and already divides his time as coach of the Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash.
His wife and four children recently returned to Australia and Gillespie has decided now is the right time to return home.
Yorkshire lost to Surrey in the Royal London Cup semi-final on Sunday, but are just five points behind leaders Middlesex with four games to play as they bid for a hat-trick of County Championship titles.
Director of cricket Martyn Moxon will not begin the search for a new coach until the end of the current season.
England seamer Liam Plunkett, signed by Yorkshire three years ago, offered praise for the contribution Gillespie has made to his own career.
Plunkett had endured a difficult period in his career prior to his move to Headingley from Durham in 2013 at the age of 28.
"He was good for me, and good for the team," said Gillespie.
"It's a tough decision that he's made. But I want to thank him - he's been great for me.
"They took a chance at the club to bring me there, and he's been nothing but positive to me.
"He's brought me back to playing for England. So I wish him the best, and look forward to catching up when I get back to Yorkshire."
