Unchanged 15-man squad for final two Tests

India's selectors have named an unchanged team for the remainder of the Border-Gavaskar Test series against Australia. The three selectors, Kris Srikkanth, Yashpal Sharma and Narendra Hirwani had planned to review selection at the end of the second Test in Mohali. Despite the committee having picked the current 15-member team for the first two Tests the selectors, chaired by Srikkanth, met on Monday to confirm that they would make no changes. A press release for the Board of Control in Cricket in India said leg-spinner Amit Mishra, originally scheduled to play in a domestic tournament, would remain with the team until the end of the series. Mishra made his debut during the second Test in place of captain Anil Kumble - who was ruled out due to a shoulder injury - and took five wickets in the first innings. Kumble is expected to have recovered in time for the third Test in New Delhi (Oct 29-Nov 2), meaning it is likely Mishra will miss out on the final XI despite his promising debut. The series concludes with the fourth Test at Nagpur (Nov 6-11). Squad: Anil Kumble (capt), Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, Vangipurappu Laxman, Sourav Ganguly, Subramaniam Badrinath, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (wkt), Zaheer Khan, Munaf Patel, Harbhajan Singh, Rudra Pratap Singh, Ishant Sharma, Amit Mishra
