England bowling line-up set to remain unchanged

England fast bowler Chris Tremlett has been ruled out of the third Test against India after failing to overcome injury, the ECB have confirmed. The Surrey seamer was unable to practise at Edgbaston on Monday after suffering tightness in his hamstring and back spasms. England had already included Steven Finn in their squad as pace-bowling cover for Tremlett, and it now appears that the hosts will stick with the same bowling attack which claimed a comprehensive victory in the second Test at Trent Bridge. An ECB update on Tuesday confirmed Tremlett will not be available, and added he "will receive ongoing treatment ahead of the fourth Test". Victory at Edgbaston will give England an unassailable 3-0 series lead and see them replace India at the top of the ICC Test rankings.
