Lancashire earned their first win in the Royal London One-Day Cup at the fourth attempt as captain Steven Croft's stunning 127 helped them earn a 26-run win over Warwickshire at Edgbaston.

Croft smashed eight fours and eight sixes in his 83-ball effort, which included taking 35 runs from one Oliver Hannon-Dalby over.

Set 352 to win, Warwickshire briefly threatened thanks to fifties for Tim Ambrose (68) and Rikki Clarke (76), but were ultimately bowled out for 325 - James Anderson taking 2-45 - and the defeat sees the defending champions join Lancs at the foot of the North Group table with four defeats from five.

In the South Group, Glamorgan edged to a thrilling one-run win over Essex in Cardiff, successfully defending their 281-7 score.

Ingram blasted a magnificent 142 off 130 balls for the hosts but the rest of the batsmen struggled, with Neil Wagner taking 4-58 for Essex.

The Essex innings was eerily similar in style as Varun Chopra (124) struck the standout innings, but like Ingram, lacked in support. With seven runs needed from the final over and only two wickets in hand, the game was in the balance, but it was Essex who ultimately came up short in a dramatic finish.

Durham's Keaton Jennings struck a third hundred for the summer, and a second in the One-Day Cup, as they overcame Northamptonshire at Emirates Riverside.

Handscomb crashed eight fours and six sixes in his 112-ball innings, while Gary Ballance (63) added another half century to his already impressive run haul for the summer, as Yorkshire amassed 349-7 batting first.

In reply, the visitors made a great fist of the run-chase but Wayne Madsen's superb century - 112 off 104 balls - proved in vain, as Derbyshire came up shy on 334-8.

Hampshire made light work of Gloucestershire in their South Group game at the Ageas Bowl, winning by seven wickets.

Spinners Liam Dawson (3-30) and Mason Crane (3-53) did the damage for the home side as they skittled Gloucestershire for 237 - Jack Taylor top-scoring with 63.

Hampshire then knocked off the runs with ease, James Vince's unbeaten 89 off 81 balls seeing them to victory with 7.3 overs to spare.

It was a familiar story in the North Group clash between Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire - the Outlaws winning by six wickets.

They too bowled out their opponents, with James Pattinson impressing with 4-42 as Leicestershire could only manage 217 from 43.5 overs - Mark Cosgrove's run-a-ball 80 the only knock of note.

Though Michael Lumb fell to the first ball of the reply, Samit Patel struck a classy 79 - one of three Notts fifties - to see his side to a comfortable victory.

Kent earned a first One-Day Cup win of the season in their fourth game, despite being bowled out for just 200 against Middlesex at Canterbury.

Kent were skittled out inside 46 overs batting first, with Sam Northeast's 55 the only innings of any real substance.

Northeast's fifty would ultimately prove to be the only one of the match as Middlesex themselves crumbled to 154 all out, and a 46-run defeat, in reply - Joe Denly (3-20) the surprise star with the ball.

Elsewhere in the South Group, Sussex safely saw off the threat of Surrey at Hove, earning a convincing 95-run win.

Chris Nash

Chris Nash (82) and Harry Finch (61) were the standout performers for the home side as they managed exactly 300 from their 50 overs batting first.

Surrey started their run-chase well enough, with opener Mark Stoneman (60) hitting a half century, but then the batting fell apart - David Wiese taking 4-29 - as the visitors were bowled out for 205.
