Hampshire have appointed former England and Yorkshire all-rounder Craig White as their first-team coach.
White, who has previously held the position of assistant coach and bowling specialist after joining the Hampshire coaching staff in 2012, first took on the head coaching responsibilities in July this year following the departure of Dale Benkenstein.
He said: "I'm proud and honoured to be offered the role as first-team coach. I want to create a relaxed and focused environment where the players are in the best frame of mind possible to apply themselves on the field and perform moving forward and I'll be doing my very best to ensure that the club, its players and supporters enjoy success in the coming years."
Hampshire director of cricket Giles White said: "Craig has been an integral part of the coaching set-up for a few years now.
"He has experience, a great understanding of the game and is respected by everyone here at Hampshire. For all those reasons he is the ideal person to take on this important role."
White made more than 600 domestic appearances for Yorkshire and represented England in 30 Test matches and 51 one-day internationals.
He retired from playing in 2008 and spent time away from the game before joining the Hampshire coaching staff in 2012.
