Tim Murtagh has agreed a two-year contract extension to remain with county champions Middlesex until 2018.
The veteran Ireland seamer will mark a decade at the club next season having joined from Surrey in 2007, and has gone on to take over 700 wickets and score almost 3,000 runs for the club.
Murtagh, 35, took 43 wickets as Middlesex claimed their first Division One title since 1993 and has agreed to stay at Lord's where he intends to finish his career.
"To have seen the side develop and grow over that period to the point where we became county champions this season has been one of the most rewarding things I've achieved in my career," he said.
"I am very much looking forward to building on what we have achieved here and to hopefully finishing my career at Lord's."
Angus Fraser, managing director of Middlesex, added: "Along with winning trophies and producing international cricketers I want to see many of the players that are currently at Middlesex become significant figures in the club's history.
"No current player will ever come close to overtaking the number of wickets Fred Titmus took for the club but Tim's achievements will quite rightly be recognised."
