Ian Cockbain has been rewarded for his star turn in this year's NatWest T20 Blast after signing a new contract at Gloucestershire that will commit him to the county until the end of 2019.
Cockbain was a regular in Gloucestershire's limited-overs teams last summer and was the third highest run-scorer in the sprint format with 499 runs at 55.44, helping them to the quarter-finals of the competition.
The 29-year-old, who struggled to maintain a place in Gloucestershire's County Championship side, said: "I'm very happy to have signed an extension to my current contract.
"It's very exciting to be a part of this group of players and I look forward to playing my part in the coming seasons."
Gloucestershire head coach Richard Dawson said: "It's great to have Ian committing to the club.
"He's been a massive part of the one-day and T20 side in recent times and we look forward to him contributing in all formats over the next few seasons."
