Ben Duckett has told Sky Sports News HQ he had no hesitation in deciding to tour Bangladesh after being picked in the England squad.
Security concerns had led to doubts the tour would go ahead, with England limited overs captain Eoin Morgan and all-rounder Alex Hales opting not to travel.
But rising star Duckett - whose impressive form opening the batting for Northamptonshire this season saw him named PCA Players' Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year - was more than happy to take up the offer of a place on the winter tour.
"They cleared the road, with cars either end of the bus, stopping people on the road," Duckett told Sky Sports News HQ.
"It's different for me and something I haven't experienced before.
"That's something behind the scenes now and I don't have to worry about that. I just can't wait to get on with the cricket.
"I had a few phone calls with Reg Dickason [England's security expert] and there was never a question about it for me.
"You've got to put all of your faith in those guys who do all the work behind the scenes.
"For me personally, I just have to worry about the cricket and let everyone else worry about that [security issues]."
