Ben Stokes and Mark Wood return to England's one-day international squad for the Royal London series with Pakistan, which starts next Wednesday at Southampton, live on Sky Sports.
But Hampshire captain James Vince has been dropped after a series of low scores in the Test series. He also contributed just 54 runs in four ODI innings against Sri Lanka earlier this year and must now scrap for a place on the winter tours with his county.
All-rounder Stokes returns from a torn calf muscle suffered in the second Investec Test against Pakistan.
Durham team-mate Wood is back in the England set-up for the first time since an ankle injury suffered against Pakistan in the UAE last winter, which required two operations.
The fast bowler has been in excellent form with Durham and England Lions in recent weeks, and has taken five wickets from his seven ODI's at an average of 68.80.
Two other players are available after injuries on county duties - Jos Buttler, who fractured a thumb five weeks ago, and captain Eoin Morgan, who chipped a little-finger bone on July 26.
Hampshire all-rounder Liam Dawson is the only player uncapped in the squad. He made an impressive international debut in the NatWest IT20 against Sri Lanka at his home county ground the Ageas Bowl in July, taking 3-27.
Chris Jordan, who has been in sensational form with bat and ball for Sussex, is included, along with Yorkshire fast bowler Liam Plunkett.
Steven Finn, as expected, misses out after injuring his hamstring in the fourth Test at the Kia Oval.
England have three slow bowling options in Dawson, Moeen Ali and Yorkshire leg-spinner Adil Rashid, and they will be hoping to impress ahead of the winter tour to Bangladesh where spin is likely to feature heavily.
Morgan is hungry for action and insists his lack of recent match practice will not affect him heading into the series.
"I'm a huge advocate of being mentally fresh, more than anything," said Morgan, who is delighted to have Wood available after his injury nightmare.
"It is remarkable to see where he is at having only come back about a month ago. He's put in some fantastic performances for the Lions, and then in the T20 quarter-final at Bristol he bowled with real venom."
