England's Andrew Flintoff runs out Australia's Captain Ricky Ponting during the fifth and final Ashes cricket Test to help England win the Ashes in 2009.

Andrew Flintoff was often centre stage for England and he certainly was when he ran out Ricky Ponting in the fifth Test of the 2009 series at The Oval.

Ponting had put on 127 with Mike Hussey for the third wicket in Australia’s second innings as the Baggy Greens’ hopes of saving the game, drawing the series and keeping the urn increased - but Flintoff had other ideas!

The all-rounder removed Australia captain Ponting with a direct throw from mid-off, a dismissal the tourists never really recovered from as they slipped to 348 all to lose the game by 197 runs and the series 2-1.
