Delhi Daredevils batsman Karun Nair’s bat went flying in the IPL as he tried to hit Ashok Dinda for a boundary

Watch out in the field!

That was the case in the IPL on Thursday evening as Delhi Dardevils star Karun Nair's bat went flying as he attempted to smash away Rising Pune Supergiants seamer Ashok Dinda.

Nair's agricultural mow was not in keeping with the rest of his innings, as the 24-year-old unfurled a couple of gorgeous cover drives en route to an enterprising 32 from 23 deliveries.

However, Nair's blade tumbling through the air was arguably the most memorable moment of his knock and you can see it in the video above.

Delhi went on to post 162-7 against Pune, with England's Sam Billings (24 from 15) and West Indies' Carlos Brathwaite (20 from 8) swelling the score with a combined five sixes.

That total was not enough, though, as Ajinkya Rahane (63 not out off 48 balls) steered Pune to just their third victory of the IPL campaign, the visitors prevailing by seven wickets with five balls to spare.
