Trina Gulliver is the BDO Women's World Darts champion for the 10th time after a tense 3-2 win over Deta Hedman at Frimley Green.
The 46-year-old, who last won the Lakeside title in 2011, had to battle back from 1-0 and 2-1 down to beat Hedman, who suffered an agonising defeat in the final for the third time since 2012.
Hedman claimed an early break in the first set and made the most of it to take a 1-0 lead, but Gulliver produced a stunning 133 checkout to level the match.
The topsy-turvy final continued with Hedman moving a set away from her maiden title, but Gulliver managed to break in the fourth set on the way to ensuring there would have to be a decider.
And the Warwickshire player had the finale all her own way, Hedman missing a couple of chances at doubles as the 'Golden Girl' made sure of victory by hitting double 18 and securing the £12,000 first prize.
Gulliver, who won the inaugural title in 2001 and the next six editions, said: "Finally! Absolutely delighted. It was always going to be a tough game against Deta.
"It has been tough but I've got the fire in my belly again. It all started in 2001 and we're here again. Ladies darts is getting stronger and stronger and stronger."
