The first of two in-season tests takes place at the Circuit de Catalunya following the Spanish GP, with a mixture of race and test drivers taking part.
There are just four days of in-season testing for the teams in 2016, with the rules dictating that at least two of those days must be dedicated to "young driver training".
However, there is no age limit on the 'young driver' with the only requirements that they have not started more than two grands prix and must be in possession of an International A licence.
The two day test in Barcelona takes place on Tuesday 17 May and Wednesday 18 May.
World champion Lewis Hamilton will not be present at the test, with Nico Rosberg and Esteban Ocon sharing driving duties for Mercedes. The British driver didn't participate in either of 2015's in-season tests.
Ferrari have given 19-year-old GP3 driver Antonio Fuoco an opportunity for the second day of the test, with Sebastian Vettel set to rack up the miles on the Tuesday.
Red Bull's exciting new driver line-up will have another opportunity to impress. Daniel Ricciardo tests first, before Max Verstappen returns to the track where he sealed a sensational maiden grand prix victory.
GP2 star Alex Lynn will be given his second F1 outing with Williams on the Tuesday, with Felipe Massa returning to the cockpit for the second day.
McLaren will field Stoffel Vandoorne on the second day of the test, with Jenson Button starting their test programme.
Alfonso Celis Jr has been given both days for Force India - the Mexican debuted the VJM09 in pre-season.
Before testing for Mercedes, Ocon will have another chance to perform for Renault. Kevin Magnussen will follow the Frenchman in Barcelona as the team test their B-spec engine.
There will be no young drivers present for Haas, with Romain Grosjean and Esteban Gutierrez in action.
Pascal Wehrlein and Jordan King take part in the two-day event for Manor. King, currently in GP2, drove for the team in the Pirelli test in Abu Dhabi last season.
Only 10 teams will take part in the test after Sauber confirmed they will miss the event. 'The reasons are that the Sauber F1 Team will not introduce car updates during the Spanish Grand Prix,' the team said. 'Besides that, the team has no young/test driver in place yet.'
Toro Rosso newbie Daniil Kvyat will continue the process of acclimatisation by driving the STR11 on Wednesday with Red Bull Young Driver programme graduate Pierre Gasly behind the wheel on Tuesday.
