Jamie Donaldson wasn't letting the gusty weather dampen his spirits after losing his ball in the gorse during the final day of The Open.

The Welshman, who had missed the cut in his previous four competitions, was five over par after a third-round 76 saw him slip down the leaderboard at Royal Troon.

And things got even worse for the 40-year-old from Pontypridd after shooting his worst round of the weekend after a 79 left him eight-over-par on Sunday.

He finished 12-over-par overall, tied-72nd by the time he came into the clubhouse, but not before he lost his ball and then made everyone laugh by getting that sinking feeling.
