The Philadelphia Eagles have acquired the No 2 overall pick in the upcoming NFL draft from the Cleveland Browns, who received five selections over the next two years in the deal.

The Eagles are expected to take either the University of California's Jared Goff or North Dakota State's Carson Wentz - both quarterbacks - depending on who is available after the Los Angeles Rams make the number one overall selection.

Last week the Rams acquired the top pick from the Tennessee Titans and are expected to select either Goff or Wentz when the draft begins on April 28.

The Browns get three selections in this year's draft from Philadelphia - the eighth overall and the Eagles' third-round and fourth-round picks. They also get the Eagles' first-round pick in next year's draft and their 2018 second-round pick.

Philadelphia also received a fourth-round pick in 2017 in the deal.

While Philadelphia are expected to make a move for a quarterback, Sam Bradford insisted earlier on Wednesday he was unconcerned about the speculation, while executive vice president Howie Roseman voiced his support for current quarterback Bradford.

"By making the initial trade with Miami earlier this off-season and with this trade today with Cleveland, we feel that we have put ourselves in the best possible position to draft an impact player," he said. "We will now focus our energy on the next step.

"Let me be clear, Sam Bradford is our starting quarterback. We told Sam that. We intend to support him and the moves we made this off-season we believe will give us a chance to compete this season."
