Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins is tackled into touch and wipes out a cheerleader during Monday Night Football

You have to be made of tough stuff to make it in the NFL, whether you're a player or anyone else associated with the game.

Earlier this year, a sound technician felt the full force of the Minnesota Vikings, when he was clattered crossing the tunnel entrance at the wrong time.

Washington Redskins tight end Jordan Reed was ejected for a punch on Monday night.

This time it was a Washington Redskins cheerleader who felt the full force of the action, after being tackled by quarterback Kirk Cousins during Washington's 26-15 loss to the Carolina Panthers.

With the Redskins down 23-12 in the fourth quarter, Cousins attempted to lead his team to a comeback victory. Leaving the pocket, the fifth year QB took off down the sideline for a first down, before he was pushed out of bounds by Panthers defensive tackle Kawann Short.

Cousins fell to the ground, sliding across the turf and taking out the unsuspecting cheerleader on the way. Visibly shaken, the cheerleader took a while to get to her feet, before smiling and waving to the camera, to confirm she was OK.
