Not many people will have tipped the Jacksonville Jaguars to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers at home for the second time this season, knocking them out of the playoffs, but one person did.
Jaguars defensive end Calais Campbell not only predicted that they'd triumph in their divisional round playoff meeting with Pittsburgh but correctly guessed the winning scoreline too!
Campbell had chatted with NFL Network's Tom Pelissero about the match following Jacksonville's 10-3 Wild Card win over the Buffalo Bills last week, predicting the eventual 45-42 result.
"We'll do whatever it takes," Campbell told Pelissero, "We'll try to win any way we can, play one play at a time and execute. I'll take it 2-0 if it comes that way, or 45-42 if it comes that way. As long as we win, I'm happy."
Campbell joined the Jaguars via free agency in 2017 after spending the previous nine seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. He has 14.5 sacks on the year for the team.
He and the Jaguars now travel to Foxborough next week, to play the defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game on Sunday.
