Johanna Konta has advanced in the Olympics women's singles, but Team GB team-mates Heather Watson and Kyle Edmund are out.
Konta, the British No 1, wasn't troubled as she breezed past France's Carolina Garcia 6-2 6-3 to progress into the third round.
Watson failed to join Konta in the next phase of the women's draw, losing 6-3 1-6 6-3 to Ukraine's Elina Svitolina.
The pair later bowed out of the women's doubles after losing 3-6 6-0 6-4 to Hao-Ching Chan and Yung-Jan Chan of Chinese Taipei.
Edmund, the world No 81, fell at the second-round hurdle of the men's draw after a 6-4 7-5 defeat by Daniel, the world No 117.
Edmund led by a break in both sets but was unable to hold that advantage, eventually succumbing in straight sets.
