Sky Bet Ebor at York an option for Amazing Red

Ed Dunlop feels a line can be drawn through the run of Amazing Red in the Northumberland Plate at Newcastle.

An outing in either the inaugural running of the JLT Cup at Newbury on July 21 or next month's Sky Bet Ebor will be next up for the five-year-old.

The trainer said: "We have taken him there (Newcastle) twice now and he has run badly there twice.

"We went there full of hope, but he never turned up. I'm not saying we would have ever beaten the winner (Withhold), but he never really travelled and any horse out the back never got into the race.

"I don't think we will run him on the Tapeta again. We can just put a line through it.

"We will consider the new race at Newbury or we could just freshen him up and wait for the Ebor.
