Richard Fahey: My Guineas hope

Our star columnist Richard Fahey with a horse-by-horse guide to his Saturday team.
I'm really looking forward to running Ribchester in the Qipco 2000 Guineas. I'm very happy with him and he's very fit and very well. It was a messy race in France for his reappearance, the problem is he's a star at home and does everything so easily, and they went no gallop at Maisons Laffitte and he just raced with the choke out.
I'm confident he'll stay the mile if we can get him to relax - wherever that is in the field - and while the favourite will take the world of beating, I think my fellow deserves to have a crack.
Spring Offensive is our first runner of the day in the championsofracing.co.uk Suffolk Stakes. He did well to win the other day at Pontefract when he cocked his jaw and did just about everything wrong. He needs to improve here but is a horse we've always felt capable of running well in a big race like this. He needs to do start doing things right here but the ground and trip are spot on.
I thought Stamp Hill would need the run on his reappearance at Pontefract but he still won which is encouraging. He's a horse who could progress and the Harbour Watch Champion Two-Year-Old Handicap is a race that will tell us whether it's time to step up in trip. He's a horse who will stay further as he sits in behind on the bridle.
Dolphin Vista loves soft ground and the more the rain the better for him ahead of the Qipco Supports Racing Welfare Handicap. It's hard to knock what he did at Ripon the last day and while this is tougher he arrives here in good form and isn't one to draw a line through.
Right Touch is our sole runner at Goodwood in the Betfred 'Treble Odds On Lucky 15's' Handicap. He's becoming frustrating and did too much at Haydock last week. We are still happy with him at home but he needs to start getting it all together on the track. He also needs a bit of luck and this would be a good day for it to fall into place for him.
We've two in the totescoop6 The Millionaire Maker Handicap at Thirsk. Royal Connoisseur is having his first run of the year and some of ours have just been needing it this year. We're happy enough with him but will see what happens.
Our Boy ran a good race on his first start for us and normally I'd be thrilled with stall 19 for him. However at that last meeting they were running well from low numbers - but if he is on the right side he must have a good chance.
Home Cummins is working extremely well ahead of her reappearance in the totepool Thirsk Hunt Cup. Again you'd have to be worried she might just need it but it wouldn't surprise me at all if she ran a big race even though she's drawn wider than I'd ideally want in 14.
Our final runners are all at Doncaster.
In My Place is a disappointing horse. He just did too much the other day at Chelmsford and walked home. We're still trying to find the key to him through racing - and at the moment I don't have it. He doesn't work like a bad horse, so we'll try again in the William Trueman Handicap.
Canyari loves Town Moor and Sammy Jo Bell and has both in the Trueman Family Handicap. This looks competitive but he's ready to return and it is a good starting point.
L'apogee probably looks like one for handicaps. I think he could win an ordinary maiden but the Doncaster Racecourse Welcomes Tour De Yorkshire Maiden Stakes could be a decent contest with plenty of unexposed rivals.
Champion Harbour was a little disappointing on debut but I think he just got bogged down at Nottingham. I thought he'd run better there but he's entitled to progress for the run and is a horse we like. We try again in the Walter Crooks No Longer A Novice Stakes.
Another Touch has a race at Haydock as his main target but is very laid back and I want to get a run into him. He returns in the Wheatley Pallets Handicap and whether he's tuned up enough to win first time out I wouldn't be 100 per cent sure but he's a horse I've a lot of time for.
We also run Young John. He ultimately proved disappointing last season but got injured after Royal Ascot and I think he lost his confidence a little as a result. He starts this season potentially well handicapped and would have a chance here. The ground won't be a problem and I hope the trip will suit.
