Ron Harris looks forward with Just Glamorous

Ron Harris could not hide his disappointment in trying to explain the performance of Just Glamorous in Sunday's Prix de l'Abbaye.
The three-year-old had progressed from a handicap mark of 69 at the beginning of the season to breaking the track record and winning a Group Three at Chantilly on his penultimate start, where he accounted for Abbaye heroine Marsha.
However, the omens were not good when he threw jockey Pierre-Charles Boudot off on the way to the start.
"He didn't get loose, Pierre did a great job at holding on to him," said Harris.
"I don't know what it was, whether something spooked him but we should have expected what happened after that as it is most unlike him.
"Whether it came at the end of a long season, I don't know. Pierre said he felt flat.
"I was wondering if he didn't like the quick ground, as it was quite quick apart from the first furlong and a half, and also, even though we thought we'd got a great draw, only Mecca's Angel was in the first eight from a single-figure stall.
"He definitely wasn't the same horse as the time before - he beat Marsha by three lengths.
"It's disappointing but we've got a horse for next year and we'll start dreaming of that now."
