Nicky Henderson is hoping to taste glory with Days Of Heaven on the other side of the Atlantic on Saturday in the American Grand National at Far Hills.

The Grade Two winning hurdler, who will be ridden by Nico de Boinville, will attempt to deliver the Seven Barrows handler his first victory in the $350,000 contest.

Having made his first start over fences a winning one at Kempton in May the six-year-old failed to complete his most recent outing after parting company with de Boinville on his return to hurdles at Worcester last month.

Henderson said: "Days Of Heaven is out in America for the Grand National. He went out on Thursday and he's had a canter. He will do a bit of work on Wednesday.

"Apparently he took the journey well and everything is going good so far. He is eating and drinking and that is all we need to know.

"We went there with Hunt Ball last year and he wasn't the right horse for it. I think this horse is the right horse for the race.

"It is pretty big prize money so we thought we would have a go. We sold last year's winner (Dawalan) to go there."
