Jamie Murray and John Peers win Hamburg Open doubles title

Jamie Murray and doubles partner John Peers have won the Hamburg Open title after a hard-fought victory over Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah in the final.

Wimbledon runners-up Murray and Peers lost the opening set to the Colombian duo but rallied to take the victory 2-6 6-3 10-8.

To reach the final the British and Australian pair beat Florian Mayer and Jiri Vesely and Frank Moser and Jan Lennard Struff in straight sets before being handed a walkover in the semi-finals.

Jamie Murray's brother Andy tweeted his congratulations after the match, saying: "Well done to my big Bro Jamie Murray and John Peers on another title today! Good to boost confidence before I destroy it in fantasy footie."
