Reading have completed the signing of Finland goalkeeper Anssi Jaakkola on a two-year deal.

The 29-year-old is making the move to Berkshire from South African side Ajax Cape Town, where he has spent the last three years.

Jaakkola left Finland in 2006 to play for Italian side Siena and he also represented Slavia Prague before moving to Scotland with Kilmarnock, where compatriot Mixu Paatelainen was in charge.

He made his only appearance for Finland in a 5-0 defeat against Sweden in 2011 while with Kilmarnock, but after only 15 club appearances he left for Cape Town in the summer of 2013, where he spent three seasons as a regular starter.
