Crawley have handed trials to Roarie Deacon and Lee Barnard.

Winger Deacon, who was released by Stevenage at the end of last season, played 65 minutes of Saturday's pre-season friendly against Championship side Fulham.

He was then replaced by former Southampton and Southend striker Barnard, who is also a free agent having left Roots Hall this summer.

Izale McLeod was on target for the Reds but they slipped to a 3-1 defeat against a strong Fulham side.

Town's next friendly is at home to Sussex neighbours Brighton on Wednesday.
