Having conquered The Conqueror, Brock Lesnar, at Survivor Series, Goldberg has announced that he will compete in the 2017 Royal Rumble Match.

Goldberg will compete in the 2017 Royal Rumble Match as he hunts one last reign as world champion.

The 49-year-old had intimated that his Survivor Series showdown with Brock Lesnar on Sunday - a bout he won in startling fashion in under two minutes - would be his last in a WWE ring.

However, the legend revealed on Monday's episode of Raw that Stephanie McMahon had convinced him to postpone his retirement by raising the prospect of him winning a third world title.

Goldberg will earn a guaranteed title opportunity at WrestleMania 33 if he wins the Royal Rumble Match in San Antonio, Texas on January 29 - 13 years after his previous appearance in the multi-man melee.

The powerhouse eliminated Nunzio, Charlie Haas and Billy Gunn in 2004, before he was removed by Kurt Angle following an attack from Lesnar, the man he would go on to defeat at WrestleMania XX.
