A quick wrap-up of all the action from day nine's afternoon session of the World Darts Championship.

Vincent van der Voort provided another seeded scalp at the PDC World Darts Championship with a straight-sets victory over Steve Beaton in the second round at Alexandra Palace.

The Dutchman, who dumped out eighth-seed Dave Chisnall in the previous round, struck seven 180s and posted a 101.1 average to cruise past the former BDO World champion.

Van der Voort opened with a 129 checkout during a dominant opening set, before breaking Beaton twice on his way to taking the second 3-1 and coming through a last-leg decider in the third.

Beaton fought back and nailed a 124 finish to move ahead in the fourth set, only for Van der Voort to win the next two legs and book a last-16 clash against either Raymond van Barneveld or Kyle Anderson.

Gerwyn Price reached the third round for the first time in his career with a 4-1 victory over Ian White, kicking off with a 15-darter and posting a 114 on his way to winning the opening set.

Price ran away with the final-leg decider in the second and bounced back from losing the third to break White in the opening leg of the fourth set, with further checkouts of 56 and 20 extending his lead.

The 16th seed then threw a 13-darter on his way to take the fifth set 3-1 and progress, with a tie against world No 1 and defending champion Michael van Gerwen or James Wilson coming up next.
