"At the bottom you've got to say Gerwyn Price and Peter Wright, they are looking like the worst two players in the league, and it's a real shame for the pair of them"

"It's what we want and we want the table as it is. We want it interesting at the bottom and interesting at the top," says Wayne Mardle.
On a raucous night in Gasgow, Michael van Gerwen continued his dominance over Michael Smith with a 7-2 victory which moved him two points clear at the top of the Premier League.
Last year's runner-up Peter Wright is staring relegation in the face after suffering a 7-1 hammering for the third consecutive week - this time to play-off hopeful Raymond van Barneveld.
Winless Gerwyn Price is two points adrift of Wright at the bottom of the pile following a heavy defeat to world champion Rob Cross.
Daryl Gurney celebrated his 32nd birthday in style with his maiden Premier League win over Mensur Suljovic, while Gary Anderson claimed his fifth straight victory on the SSE Hydro oche in front of his home fans as he averaged 102.68 to beat Simon Whitlock 7-4.
And 'Hawaii 501' said things are heating up at the top and bottom of the table with Judgement Night in Liverpool just two weeks away, when the bottom two players in the league table will be eliminated, with the remaining eight stars then competing for spots in May's Play-Offs.
"You've got to hand it to Rob Cross after a terrible start where he lost his first two matches, he's now put himself in a position that he wants to be in and that's with five wins on the bounce," Mardle told Sky Sports' host Dave Clark.
"Barney has worked hard, but at the bottom you've got to say Gerwyn Price and Peter Wright, they are looking like the worst two players in the league, and it's a real shame for the pair of them.
"There are just big games wherever you look. Mensur won't want to end up in the elimination spot so his game with Gary Anderson in Belfast next week is big. Simon Whitlock will want to push for a Play-Off spot and push Peter Wright into the mire. There's loads going on.
"It's what we want and we want the table as it is. We want and we want the table as it is. We want it interesting at the bottom and interesting at the top. It's just exciting."
The 2018 Premier League heads to the SSE Arena in Belfast next Thursday, with coverage underway from 7pm on Sky Sports Action & from 9.45pm on Sky Sports Main Event. Seven weeks of tungsten action will then continue through to the season's conclusion with the Play-Offs on May 17 at The O2 in London.
