The stars of the PGA Tour gather at TPC Sawgrass for The Players, where Scottie Scheffler looks to become the first back-to-back winner in the tournament's history and follow his impressive victory at the Arnold Palmer Invitational on Sunday.

Scheffler holds a commanding advantage at world No 1 over Rory McIlroy, who bids to win the event for a second time, while FedExCup champion Viktor Hovland and US Open winner Wyndham Clark are among the other star names in action.

There's not long to wait until the 50th edition of The Players Championship, with coverage live from Thursday on Sky Sports

Most of the world's top 50 are in the Florida field, where Shane Lowry hopes to continue his impressive form and Matt Fitzpatrick is among the players bidding to become the first English winner in the tournament's history.

Sky Sports Golf will once again be the home of The Players in 2024, with nearly 60 hours of live coverage from Tuesday-Sunday of tournament week and a host of extra content available for you to enjoy.

A special 'Live from The Players' show will offer live build-up on both Tuesday and Wednesday before live coverage begins from 11.30am over the first two days and 2pm over the weekend, following action from before the opening tee shot until after the close of play.

Highlights from the final round of the 151st Open Championship as Brian Harman claimed the Claret Jug

Brian Harman claimed victory at The Open, following on from Jon Rahm's success at The Masters, Brooks Koepka adding to his PGA Championship tally and Wyndham Clark claiming a maiden major win at the US Open.

Four of the five women's majors produced maiden champions, with Lilia Vu victorious at the Chevron Championship, Ruoning Yin securing the KPMG Women's PGA Championship and Allisen Corpuz the US Women's Open.

Celine Boutier stormed to an impressive breakthrough success at the Evian Championship, before Vu registered a second major title after beating Englishwoman Charley Hull to AIG Women's Open glory at Walton Heath.
