Declarationofpeace could head for Royal Ascot after outclassing the opposition in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden at Dundalk.

An excellent third on his introduction at Navan, the Aidan O'Brien-trained War Front colt was the 1/4 favourite to go two better and those who took the skinny price never had a moment's concern.

Seamie Heffernan allowed him to stroll to the front inside the final couple of furlongs and pushed out the Ballydoyle youngster with hands and heels to account for Treasuring by six lengths.

O'Brien said: "He's a fine big fellow. He has a lot of speed. We'd be thinking of Ascot and if we could get another run into him it would be a help.
