American speedball Lady Aurelia remains firmly on course to bid for further Group One glory in the Coolmore Nunthorpe at York.

Wesley Ward's filly won at Royal Ascot for the second successive year with another astonishing display of raw speed in last month's King's Stand Stakes.

The three-year-old is odds-on across the board to follow up on the Knavesmire on August 25 and Ward could not be happier with how his star performer has recovered from her Ascot exertions.

Ward said: "She did some beautiful work on Tuesday, she's got a couple more works to go and we'll be ready.

"She came back from Ascot in unbelievable shape and we're really happy with her.

"We'll have to wait and see what the ground is going to be like, but she won nicely in Ascot last year when the ground was wet, so I don't see it as a big problem.

"Either way we'll be there to give it a shot."

Ward is hoping for further success on British soil when Happy Like A Fool runs in Wednesday's Molecomb Stakes at Goodwood, the trainer's first runner on the Sussex Downs.

Bound For Nowhere, fourth behind Caravaggio, Harry Angel and Blue Point in a brilliant renewal of Royal Ascot's Commonwealth Cup, is set to return to Europe for next weekend's Prix Maurice de Gheest.

"We looked at the Lennox Stakes at Goodwood for him, but we've decided to go to Deauville," Ward added.

"His latest work was a stunner. He worked with Undrafted and went away from him really well.

"I'm looking forward to seeing him run in France."
