White Mocha could return to Haydock for a tilt at the Listed Ascendant Stakes next weekend.

A son of Lope De Vega, the Hugo Palmer-trained youngster made a winning start to his career at the Lancashire course last month, showing a good attitude in beating Rua Augusta by a head.

Palmer said: "White Mocha has got a Royal Lodge (Newmarket, September 30) entry, but that is not going to be his next start.

"He will run somewhere at the end of next week. There's the Ascendant Stakes and he's entered in novice races at Salisbury and Kempton. We will just see how he's going nearer the time.
