Aljezeera gained her first victory of the season after running out an impressive winner of the British Stallion Studs EBF Beckford Stakes at Yarmouth.

Having finished second in the Group Two Park Hill Stakes at Doncaster last month, the Luca Cumani-trained three-year-old made the most of a drop back down to Listed level to give Frankie Dettori a winner from his only ride on the card.

Racing close to the pace throughout the one-mile-six-furlong contest, the daughter of Frankel moved into a clear advantage around two furlongs from home.

The 15-8 favourite quickly asserted after hitting the front and crossed the line a length and three-quarters clear of Capricious Cantor.

Cumani said: "I'm delighted with her and she has done nothing but improve all her life.

"Her dam won Group One races at five and six years of age. I hope we don't have to wait that long. Maybe we can get there next year. She is an improving filly and stays well.

"She stays in training. She has got big black type to go with her placing in the Park Hill. She is quite a valuable filly and she is gorgeous, too.

"That is it for the season. After the Park Hill this was the last mile and six race for fillies, so that was on the agenda for her.

"When we step back up in grade into Group company I think more pace will be better for her."
