Phil Kirby was delighted to see Allmyown open his account under rules with a dominant display at Wetherby.

The seven-year-old was snapped up for the relatively modest fee of #20,000 after winning an Irish point-to-point last spring.

His five subsequent efforts over hurdles were nothing to write home about, but it is perhaps no surprise given his background that he fared better on his first start over fences, when third at Catterick a little over a month ago.

Allmyown was a 5-2 chance for the Racing UK Profits Returned To Racing Handicap Chase under Adam Nicol and with 7-4 favourite Bandon Roc well beaten a long way from home, Kirby's charge was not hard pressed to score by 11 lengths from Newberry New.

Kirby said: "He's a big, raw horse who will hopefully make up into a nice staying chaser. He jumped class.

"He is entered at Sedgefield on Friday, but I'll see if there's anything else coming up for him.

"There's no panic to run him again, to be honest. He's a horse who probably wants a bit of time."
