Voy Por Ustedes will return to action in the Game Spirit Chase at Newbury next month before another return to Cheltenham.
The nine-year-old will revert to the minimum trip at the Berkshire venue after failing to get home over three miles in the Lexus Chase over Christmas.
Connections have yet to decide on a Cheltenham target, with the Champion Chase and the Ryanair Chase - in which he was a beaten favourite last year - as options.
"He came out of the Irish race very well," trainer Alan King told At The Races.
"I had a chat with Barry Simpson (owner's racing manager) and we've put him in the Queen Mother and the Ryanair Chase.
"The plan would be to give him a prep in the Game Spirit and after that we'll decide (on a Cheltenham target).
"He's fresh and well and he always comes into his own in the spring."
