Varian wants three-year-old to wait a little longer
Nahrain will not race in the Group One Markel Insurance Nassau Stakes at Glorious Goodwood on Saturday.
The unbeaten three-year-old, owned by Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum, has impressed on all of her three starts so far, with wins over a mile in a maiden, a handicap, and a Listed contest.
"We're not going for the Nassau. We are going to give her a bit more time," said trainer Roger Varian.
"She's perfectly fine, but I want her to see the season out strongly in the autumn.
"I'm not quite sure where are going to go next, but it won't be for a little while.
"I think she will get 10 furlongs and could be versatile come the autumn.
"She goes on easy ground."
