A decision on whether So You Think will head to America in search of Breeders' Cup glory could be reached by the end of the week.
Trainer Aidan O'Brien reports the Australian import to have taken his latest run in the Champion Stakes at Ascot (second to Cirrus Des Aigles) in his stride.
"He's good. He came out of Ascot well and we're obviously looking at the Breeders' Cup," said the Ballydoyle trainer.
"He has to start working again and he has a big option of the mile or the Classic.
"He's a seasoned horse, has a great cruising pace, travels very well and is quick out of the gate.
"He has tactical speed, so the Classic would be hard looked at and is a definite possibility, but the decision has yet to be made definite yet.
"The boys (Coolmore) will talk about it among themselves, I imagine.
"I suppose it will be towards the end of the week before anything is finalised."
