Multiple Champion Jockey rides finish too early

Top class international jockey Mirco Demuro has been banned for 12 days after riding a finish a circuit too early at Wolverhampton. The Italian pilot will be sidelined from June 21 to July 2 inclusive following his ride on The Bells O Peover in the Follow Us On Twitter @WolvesRaces Handicap over a mile and three-quarters. Demuro only realised his mistake when the 10 other runners went past him after he had eased down the Mark Johnston-trained gelding after he thought he had the race won. Instead he trailed in last on the 10-1 shot behind the 11-4 winner Mataaleb, ridden by Simon Pearce and trained by his mother Lydia. Five times champion jockey in his native country, Demuro won the world's richest race, the Dubai World Cup on Victoire Pisa at Meydan in March 2011.
