Valuable autumn prizes on sprinter's agenda

The William Hill Ayr Gold Cup in September will be among the races under consideration for Mirza when he returns from a summer break. Trainer Rae Guest has the big six-furlong handicap as one of the races in mind for the sprinter, who is currently enjoying a holiday after having already had seven starts this term. Mirza won three of those races, including the Listed Midsummer Sprint Stakes at Cork. "He's having a little break. He's had a lot of racing from the spring onwards," said the Newmarket handler. "He's done us proud this year. If every horse could do what he's done we'd be happy. "We're going to bring him back in the autumn. "We'll put him in races like the Ayr Gold Cup - that race will be one of his plans."
