Grand National-winning jockey Robbie Power finished a creditable third as he switched disciplines for an afternoon at the Royal International Horse Show at Hickstead. The jockey took part in the Amlin Plus Eventing Grand Prix, where competitors tackle a challenging course of showjumps in the International Arena before jumping out of the ring, across a hedge and through a river into the gardens of Hickstead Place. Power was aboard Doonaveeragh O One, who is his eventer sister Elizabeth's horse, in the event, clocking a total time of 202.12. However, that was only good enough for third with fellow Irishman, showjumper Trevor Breen, taking the title with a time of 193.44 on Adventure De Kannen. New Zealander Andrew Nicholson, an event rider, finished above Power in second.
