Tullius is to step up to the highest level after storming to victory in the Group Two bet365 Mile at Sandown on Friday.

The JLT Lockinge Stakes at Newbury on May 17 and the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot a month later are on the cards thanks to the six-year-old's first win since he returned from the injury that kept him off the track from August 2012 to October 2013.

"He's in good form. He's in the Lockinge. We'll have a look at that. He's also in the Queen Anne and that's a possibility as well. We've got lots to look forward to with him," said trainer Andrew Balding.

The Kingsclere handler was also happy with Impulsive Moment's performance in finishing second to the impressive Western Hymn in the bet365 Classic Trial on the same Sandown card.

The Betfred Lingfield Derby Trial on May 10 now beckons for the lightly-raced son of Galileo, who holds an entry in the Investec Derby at Epsom.

"He ran a very nice race and we might look at the Lingfield Derby Trial for him as a possible target and make some decisions after that," said Balding.
