Andrew Balding is confident Here Comes When can make his mark at the highest level this season ahead of an intended reappearance in the bet365 Mile at Sandown on Friday week.

The Fitri Hay-owned five-year-old enjoyed a tremendous campaign in 2014, progressing from a handicap victory at Chester's May meeting to becoming a Group Two winner in Germany and in the Challenge Stakes at Newmarket.

Balding said: "Here Comes When will head to Sandown next week for the Group Two (bet365 Mile) before hopefully going for the Lockinge at Newbury.

"He won two Group Two races on soft ground last year and I don't see why he won't be competitive in Group One races on the right ground conditions as he is a very talented horse on his day."

The Kingsclere handler believes he has assembled a strong team for the new campaign and assessed a number of his inmates during a stable visit organised by Windsor to celebrate becoming the racecourse's new Monday night ambassador.

"Tullius is Group One-placed and is another horse who is high class on the right ground. He is in the Lockinge but I am quite keen to explore the mile-and-a-quarter route with him," said Balding.

"Chesil Beach will start off in handicaps. She won her last four races and we are hoping she is very progressive.

"Last year she took about three or four runs to hit the ground and she could be slow to start this year, but you never quite know.

"She's a filly that could end up stepping up in grade and hopefully we can pick up some black type with her.

"Mymatechris is in the Chester Cup but I'm not quite sure if the two-and-a-quarter-mile trip will suit him so I have got to have a talk to the owner to see what we do.

"He's a very handy horse and there are plenty of races for him.

"Nadder is a big and strong galloping type who is in the Pretty Polly. It is a big jump up for her but the way she won her only start to date at Southwell was very impressive.

"It takes a bit of doing, winning a maiden first time out. She is working well and she could be a nice filly."

Balding is delighted to be working with Windsor, adding: "Monday night racing at Windsor really marks the start of the Flat season.

"It is a terrific way to start the week. It is very relaxed and good fun."
