Connections of Flintham could chart a route towards the Cheltenham Festival with the eight-year-old following his recent return to action.
The 144-rated hurdler, trained by Mark Bradstock, finished fourth in a competitive limited handicap chase at Chepstow last Friday on what was his first start since the 2016 Festival - and only his second spin over fences.
Assistant trainer Sara Bradstock said: "I was very encouraged.
"He jumped really well and his early pace annihilated the field, but he just grew leg-weary.
"As long as he wins well next time and as long as the ground was good to soft, we'd still think about Cheltenham as he's in the RSA and the the four-miler (National Hunt Chase)."
